DUNEDIN, Fla. — The Toronto Blue Jays have released outfielder Ezequiel Carrera, accordfing to multiple reports.

Carrera was designated for assignment earlier this month when the team signed reliever Seung-Hwan Oh.

The 30-year-old is the odd man out in the Blue Jays' outfield after the acquisitions of Curtis Granderson and Randal Grichuk.

Carrera hit .282 with eight home runs and 20 RBIs in 325 plate appearances for the Jays last season.
