HBO and Vox Media are teaming up on a four-part documentary about inequities in both sports and society titled 'Level Playing Field.'

The series comprises of four 30-minute episodes looking at four different scenarios of sports inequity. The first episode, titled “Midnight Basketball”, examines the intersection of sports, race and social policy through an at-risk youth sports program in Maryland.

Later episodes of the series will focus on the creation of the 'student-athlete' term by the NCAA, the impact of the Donald Trump administration's immigration policy on the horse racing industry and the efforts of the WNBA's Atlanta Dream to support Senator Raphael Warnock in his election over former team owner Kelly Loeffler.

The series will include appearances by sports journalist Jemele Hill, WNBA player Elizabeth Williams and politicians Cory Booker and Warnock.

The series premieres September 14th on HBO and HBO Max with new episodes following every Tuesday.
