The last remaining piece of the Roy Halladay trade is gone from the Toronto Blue Jays.

The team announced on Friday that pitcher Kyle Drabek had been claimed on waivers by the Chicago White Sox.

Drabek, 27, was one of three prospects obtained by the Jays from the Philadelphia Phillies for ace Roy Halladay in December 2009, along with outfielder Michael Taylor and catcher Travis d'Arnaud. The former was immediately traded to the Oakland Athletics for Brett Wallace, while the latter was the centrepiece of the package sent to the New York Mets in the December 2012 acquisition of RA Dickey.

Appearing in 39 games for the Jays, 30 of them starts, Drabek posted an 8-15 record with a 5.27 ERA.

This spring, Drabek notched one save and a 2.57 ERA in seven innings over six Grapefruit League appearances.

The team also announced on Friday that lefty Scott Barnes had cleared waivers and will report to Triple-A affiliate, Buffalo Bisons camp. Barnes, 27, was 1-1 over five innings pitched in seven appearances this spring,
