Chicago Blackhawks defenceman Niklas Hjalmarsson has been suspended for the remainder of the preseason and one regular season game for charging St. Louis Blues forward Ty Rattie during their contest on Saturday.
Hjalmarsson was given a match penalty and ejected from the game in the third period of the Saturday game, when he leveled Rattie at centre ice, forcing the Blues forward from the game.
