The Arizona Coyotes have acquired goaltender David Leggio from the New York Islanders in exchange for right wing Mark Louis.

In 23 games with the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers this season, Leggio has posted a 7-13 record with a .861 save percentage and a 3.93 goals-against average.

An eight-year professional, Leggio has never played an NHL game.

Louis, 27, has never appeared in an NHL game, but has three assists in 34 games with the AHL's Portland Pirates this season.

It is his fourth season with the Coyotes' AHL affiliate.
