The Los Angeles Kings lost goaltender Jonathan Quick in their season opener against the San Jose Sharks.

Via the Kings PR, Quick suffered a lower-body injury and is not expected to return. Quick was injured on the last play of the first period. Backup Jeff Zatkoff took Quick's place in net.
