According to TSN Senior Hockey Reporter Frank Seravalli, the Los Angeles Kings have elected not to give a qualifying offer to Tobias Rieder, meaning the 25-year-old will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

The Kings acquired Rieder, along with Scott Wedgewood, in February for goaltender Darcy Kuemper.

He scored four goals and posted six assists in 20 games upon the joining the Kings and played in all four of the team's playoff contests. He had eight goals with 11 assists in 58 games with the Coyotes before the trade.

The native of Landshut, Germany, had a $2.225 million cap hit last season.
