UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold will make his first title defence at UFC 199 in June, against Chris Weidman, the man he stopped with a fourth round TKO in December to capture the gold, president Dana White announced on Wednesday.
White made the announcement on Garbage Time with Katie Nolan.
Rockhold told Fox Sports in January that he had no problem granting Weidman a rematch.
"100 percent, I'm fine with that," Rockhold told Fox Sports. "I don't need extra motivation. Someone's coming for me from the other side of the world, other side of the country, wherever they're at, they're coming to take what I've earned, my spot, something I've worked for my whole life, it's more motivation for me.
