Ottawa Senators defenceman Mark Borowiecki will have a hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety on Sunday to discuss boarding Los Angeles Kings forward Tyler Toffoli.

The incident occurred at the 2:38 mark of the opening period and Borowiecki was assessed a boarding major on the play.

After he finished serving his penalty he received a second major penalty for fighting Kings defenceman Matt Greene.

Toffoli left the game following the hit but returned to action and finished the game.
