The Minnesota Wild placed winger Tyler Ennis on waivers for the purpose of a buyout.

Ennis had one-year remaining on his five-year, $23 million deal he signed while a member of the Buffalo Sabres.

The Wild will save $2.433 million in salary cap space with the move.

Ennis had eight goals and 14 assists in 73 games for the Wild last season.
