Isles get Neuvirth from Sabres for Johnson
The New York Islanders have acquired goaltender Michal Neuvirth from the Buffalo Sabres for goaltender Chad Johnson and a conditional 2016 third-round pick. Neuvirth, 26, is 6-17-3 in 27 games this season with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage.

The Czech native is an unrestricted free agent at season's end.
Johnson, 28, is 8-8-1 in 17 games started this season with a 3.08 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage. Johnson has one year remaining on a $2.6 million, two-year deal.
