CALGARY — Kamar Jorden won't be hitting the CFL free-agent market.

The Calgary Stampeders re-signed the all-star receiver to a two-year deal Friday. Jorden was eligible to become a free agent next month.

Jorden was a West Division all-star last season despite playing in only nine games before suffering a season-ending knee injury .The six-foot-three, 204-pound former Bowling Green star had 55 catches for 944 yards with six TDs.

He recorded 10 catches for a club-record 249 yards and a TD in Calgary's 39-26 win over Winnipeg on Aug. 25.

“I'm very pleased that Kamar has made this commitment to the club,” Stampeders president/GM John Hufnagel said in a statement. "Kamar had established himself as one of the league's premier receivers prior to his unfortunate injury and I'm confident he will return to that level of play once he’s completed his recovery.”

Jorden has appeared in 32 career regular-season games for Calgary, registering 152 catches for 2,254 yards and 15 TDs.

“I started my CFL journey here in 2013,” said Jorden. “Through the highs and lows, Calgary always stuck by me and I'm doing the same.

"Let's get to work.”
