The Dallas Stars have locked up forward Mattias Janmark to a one-year contract worth $2.3 million.

"Mattias is a strong and versatile player who always makes his presence felt when he is on the ice," said general manager Jim Nill in a press release. "His intelligence and determination have built the foundation of a tremendous, young player, and we are thrilled to have him returning as a member of the Stars."

The 25-year-old scored 19 goals and added 15 assists over 81 games with the Stars in 2017-18, his second year with the club.

Janmark missed the entire 2016-17 campaign due to a knee injury suffered in the pre-season. He scored 15 goals and 14 assists over 73 games in his rookie season of 2015-16.

The Stars selected the Swede in the third round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
