The Vancouver Canucks have acquired Cory Conacher from the New York Islanders in exchange for centre Dustin Jeffrey.

In 15 games with the Islanders this season, Conacher had one goal and three points. The 25-year-old has five goals and 17 assists in 28 points with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL.

Conacher's best season came in 2012-13, when he had nine goals and 24 points in 35 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning before being traded to the Ottawa Senators.

Jeffrey, 27, has 17 goals and 24 assists in 49 games with the Utica Comets of the AHL.
