Colorado Avalanche centre Tyson Jost and Columbus Blue Jackets centre Pierre-Luc Dubois will join Team Canada at the world hockey championship in Slovakia.
Jost is expected to arrive this weekend.
Canada needed to add a player after losing star centre John Tavares to an oblique injury on Thursday.
The 21-year-old Jost had 11 goals and 15 assists over 70 games with the Avs in 2018-19, his third season in the NHL. He added three goals and an assist in 12 playoff games.
Jost, a native of Alberta, was selected 10th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
Colorado fell to the San Jose Sharks in Game 7 of the second round.
Dubois, 20, netted 27 goals and 34 assists over 82 games this season with the Jackets, his second campaign in the NHL.
The Quebec native had five points in 10 post-season games as Columbus was eliminated in the second round by the Boston Bruins.
The Canadians have one more spot left on their roster. According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, Canada would like to add another defenceman if possible.
