St. Louis Blues head coach Craig Berube confirmed Saturday that defenceman Torey Krug will be out for "some time" with a lower-body injury.

Krug exited Game 3 against the Minnesota Wild after he delivered a hit on Matt Boldy and struggled to put weight on his left leg afterwards. He skated off the ice and went down the tunnel with 8:58 remaining in the first period and did not return to the game.

The 31-year-old had nine goals and 34 assists in 64 games during the regular season for the Blues, his second season in St. Louis.

The Wild currently lead the best-of-seven first round playoff series 2-1.
