The St. Louis Blues have placed forward James Neal on waivers. 

Neal, 34, has two goals and four points in 17 games with the Blues this season. 

A second-round pick (33th overall) by Dallas at the 2005 NHL Draft, Neal has had stints with the Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins, Nashville Predators, Vegas Golden Knights, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Blues. He has skated in three NHL All-Star games (2012, 2016, 2018) and was named to the NHL's First All-Star Team in 2011-12. 

He is on a one-year, $750,000 deal.
