After more than 27,000 tweets chronicling every aspect of the hockey world, TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie marked a significant milestone yesterday, officially reaching 1 million followers on Twitter.

Just two years after he hit the 500,000 follower mark, the most-followed media personality in Canada has doubled his follower count. He's done it with the relentless dedication fans have come to expect from the "BobFather": breaking trades, analyzing high-profile hirings and firings, and shouting out to colleagues, friends, and worthwhile initiatives at all levels of the game.

Bob joined TSN Drive with Dave Naylor on TSN Radio 1050 in Toronto yesterday to tell a few great stories about his long road to 1 million followers. If you missed the interview, you can listen to it right here.

With news of the milestone making its way across the Twittersphere, Bob's TSN Hockey colleagues chimed in, appropriately, with their own tweets.

Congrats to Bob
As well, a big thanks to Twitter Canada, who visited TSN yesterday evening to celebrate the occasion with Twitter-themed cupcakes and balloons.
