ROCCAT, Splyce and Giants Gaming will all return to the European League Championship Series for the 2016 Summer Split after successfully making their way through the promotion tournament over the weekend.
Giants, the bottom seed this spring, opened the event with a 3-2 series win over the European Challenger Series runner-up Copenhagen Wolves.
The win gave the Giants two more chances to re-qualify for the EU LCS.
On the second day, Splyce sent the Giants into the loser’s bracket with a 3-2 series win. Splyce moved directly through to the summer split while Giants would be forced to play at least one more series for their LCS lives.
In the second match of Day 2, ROCCAT cruised past Challenger Series winners Team Huma in four games. The loss was the beginning of the end for Huma in a season mired in controversy.
The final day saw the Giants find their way back into the EU LCS with a 3-1 series win over Team Huma.
